Essential Upgrade Works at Speen Water Treatment Works

Project Overview

Speen WTW (BB01022619) – Work will commence on 2 May 2025, with completion expected by Spring 2026.
The upgrades involve replacing the outdated aerators and associated infrastructure.

Impact on the Local Community

All work will take place within the boundaries of the Water Treatment Works, meaning no impact on public roads or traffic.
Pedestrian access and emergency vehicle access will be maintained at all times.
There may be an increase in noise and vehicle movements during working hours (Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00).
Temporary water quality fluctuations (e.g., cloudiness or discoloration) may occur, but the water will remain safe to use. Customers will be notified in advance if testing is required.
